Job Summary

Essential Job Functions

Responsible for the planning and implementation of specific recreation activities in the afterschool program. Duties include but are not limited to, the planning and implementation of sports and/or crafts activities, and clean up. May accompany and transport children on off site field trips as scheduled. Attend staff and programming meetings as scheduled.

The hours for this position are 3:30-6:30pm mostly M-F

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

Skills in general recreation programs and some knowledge of specific activities as related to the position.

EXPERIENCE:

3-6 months experience working with children in a recreational setting. Knowledge of sports and games and some implementation required.

EDUCATION:

High School student and/or at least 16 years of age. Child development class a plus.
