About the Opportunity
Seeking an Aftermarket Sales Representative to support and grow aftermarket parts sales within an assigned territory.
This is a remote, territory-based sales position responsible for developing customer relationships, identifying new sales opportunities, securing orders, and providing customers with responsive technical and product support.
The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of autonomy while leveraging internal sales, service, engineering, and operational resources to execute territory growth strategies and deliver exceptional customer value.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed sales targets for spare and replacement parts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities for new business.
- Grow repeat and aftermarket sales within an assigned territory.
- Maintain a strong understanding of company products, parts, technical specifications, applications, and industry trends.
- Assist customers in identifying the appropriate parts for their equipment and applications.
- Provide technical guidance related to parts usage, maintenance, replacement, and installation.
- Handle inbound parts inquiries and customer calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare quotes with accurate pricing, availability, and estimated lead times.
- Process customer purchase orders and coordinate orders through fulfillment.
- Provide service technicians and internal teams with parts and product information as required.
- Communicate accurate product availability and delivery information to customers.
- Coordinate with vendors to obtain pricing, shipment dates, availability, and expected delivery information.
- Generate purchase orders to procure parts and other items required for customer orders.
- Proactively follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues.
- Monitor competitor products, pricing, and industry developments to effectively position company products.
- Support territory growth initiatives and develop strategies to increase parts revenue.
- Collaborate with sales, service, engineering, purchasing, and other internal teams to achieve customer and business objectives.
- Share parts knowledge and product expertise with colleagues and team members.
- Support ERP parts-data, part-numbering, and standardization initiatives as needed.
- Maintain accurate customer, quotation, order, and parts information.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in parts sales, aftermarket sales, equipment sales, industrial sales, or customer service.
- Experience developing customer relationships and growing sales within an assigned territory.
- Demonstrated ability to identify new business opportunities and develop existing accounts.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand technical product information and communicate it effectively to customers.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage a high volume of customer inquiries and competing priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, territory-based environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling spare, replacement, service, or aftermarket parts.
- Experience with industrial, agricultural, construction, manufacturing, packaging, or food-processing equipment.
- Experience working with equipment dealers, service organizations, maintenance teams, or industrial customers.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and parts/inventory management.
- Technical sales or equipment service experience.
- Experience managing a geographic sales territory.
- Experience working with OEM equipment or replacement parts.
