    Aftercare (After School) Assistant
     
    Location: St. Louis, Missouri

    Job Skills:
    • Experience working with young children (either Early Childhood students ages 2-5 or Elementary students ages 5-10)
    • Experience in aftercare, babysitting, nannying, coaching, summer camp, and/or tutoring
    Job Description:
     
    Assist in our after-school programs for either our Elementary school (Charger Club) or our Early Childhood Education program (ECE Aftercare). Assistants may work the whole school year, or they have the option to work only a season or two. This role is intended to offer flexibility for high school and college students who have fluctuating schedules depending on sports and other extracurricular activities.
     
    Charger Club Assistants and ECE Aftercare Assistants are responsible for supervising and engaging with young children during after-school hours, approximately 3:15/3:30pm until 5:30pm. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children through babysitting, nannying, coaching, summer camp, or tutoring. Assistants are responsible for creating a safe and fun environment for children after school.
     
    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Supervising children during aftercare hours (approx. 3:15pm - 5:30pm)
    • Engaging with children in activities such as games, crafts, outdoor play, and homework help
    • Modeling and demonstrating the CCLS core values: Christ-centered, people-focused, excellence-driven, future-directed
    • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in the program
    • Communicating with parents and school staff as needed
    Requirements:
    • Ages 16+ preferred, but may consider younger candidates who demonstrate maturity and experience.
    • Reliable transportation required.
