  1. To assist schools by providing educational interventions and progress monitoring for students.
  2. Work with individual students or small groups of students to provide educational interventions and progress monitoring.
  3. Work with school personnel to determine students' academic needs.
  4. Provide high quality general education instruction to students who are at-risk in reading, writing and/or mathematics.
  5. Use identified scientific, research-based interventions focused specifically on individual student difficulties.
  6. Maintain data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and progress during interventions.
  7. Provide the high-quality instruction needed to move students to grade level proficiency. Qualifications: Holds a valid and active West Virginia professional teaching certificate endorsed for Elementary Education K-4. Length of Employment: Not to exceed 92 hours at $30/hour - paid from Federal School Improvement Funds. Responsibilities:
  8. Follow all rules, policies and procedures of Logan County Schools along with state and federal regulations pertaining to Title I.
  9. Maintain records of interventions and progress monitoring to ensure process fidelity.
  10. Attend team/parent meetings as required; provide input to teams regarding student academic strengths and weaknesses.
  11. Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information.
  12. Skill in effective oral and written communication.
  13. Knowledge of research-based intervention strategies.
  14. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  15. Perform related duties and responsibilities as requested by the principal. Location: Hugh Dingess Elementary School
