The shifts we are hiring for are the following:
- Monday-Friday (required to work every day) 2:45 pm-5:45 pm
- Monday-Friday (required to work every day) 3:15 pm-6:15 pm
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement daily lesson/activity plans
- Supervise children and program activities
- Conduct parent conferences and maintain positive relationships
- Maintain program site and equipment
- Maintain program records & documentation
- Make ongoing observations and evaluations of each child
- Attend YMCA events, staff meetings, and training
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma required; college experience preferred
- Previous experience working with diverse populations of elementary school children in group settings preferred
- Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate programming
- Bilingual (Spanish/Russian/Ukrainian/English) a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Sufficient agility and mobility to perform job responsibilities
- Ability to participate in indoor and outdoor activities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
