After School Program Teacher

Step By Step Child Care is looking for engaging, creative, and nurturing childcare teachers to enrich young minds in our after school program.  Step By Step offered transportation from local schools to our centers for children Kindergarten through Middle School. We are looking for teachers who would enjoy assisting students with their homework and engage them in fun games as they unwind after the school day.  

All applicants will be asked to participate in an in person interview followed by a classroom observation where they will facilitate an age appropriate lesson. Hourly rate will depend on education and experience in the field!

Available Shifts:

Part-time: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Split Shift: 7:30 AM - 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Responsibilities include;

Organizing age appropriate activities, crafts, and lesson plans to facilitate an engaging environment where learning opportunities are created through play.

Maintain a healthy and safe environment for students and fellow staff members.

Communicate positively and respectfully to students, parents, and fellow staff members.

Participate in trainings and meetings provided by the center to further professional growth and maintain the overall well-being of the center environment.

**Employees are required to have up to date Criminal, FBI, and Child Abuse and NSOR Clearances as well as a Health physical with TB testing. Program Administrators are happy to support all applicants new to the field in obtaining clearances needed for employment. 

*All employees are eligible for tuition assistance after 6 months of employment! Earn your associates or bachelors degree in education through the T.E.A.C.H program!
