After School Group Leader /Early Learning Professional

$200.00 Hiring Bonus $20.00 Hourly

Location(s):Penn Hills Township Elementary School located at 1079 Jefferson Rd Pittsburgh PA 15235

Hours: Monday through Friday 3pm-6pm

Bachelors or Associates Degree- Elementary Education, Special education and early child care education associates or bachelors. Associates degree requires 2 years experience with children

Bachelor or Associates Degree Human Service Field Degrees also qualify in the following areas( social work, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, human development/family studies/counseling/ mental health counseling/nursing-health sciences, human service management, home economics/family and consumer sciences.

Other degrees outside the education and human service degrees listed above will NEED 30 ADDITIONAL credits on your transcript in the subjects of elementary education, early child care education or special education.

• Assist with daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts) while encouraging positive peer interactions
• Make child safety the top priority at all times
• Keep the space clean and organized
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff
