After-School Early Childhood Music Instructor

Part-Time | W-2 | 20–30/hour | Bexley Area

Chambers Music Studio is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Early Childhood Music Instructor to lead engaging music classes for preschool-aged children at partner schools in and around the Bexley area.

This is a great opportunity for a music educator, early childhood educator, musician, or teaching artist who loves working with young children and can create a joyful, energetic, and well-structured classroom.

Regular After-School Schedule

Mondays3:00–3:45 PM

• 3:45–4:30 PM

Wednesdays

• 3:30–4:30 PM
  

Students are approximately ages 3–5.

Our curriculum is built around singing, movement, rhythm, instruments, imaginative play, musical games, and developmentally appropriate musical exploration.

Curriculum and lesson plans are provided by Chambers Music Studio, and paid preparation time is included in addition to teaching hours.

Additional Substitute Opportunities

We are also looking for instructors who can occasionally substitute for additional Early Childhood Music classes:

• Sunday, 4:00–4:45 PM — Bexley
  
• Sunday, 5:00–5:45 PM — Worthington
  
• Monday, 9:00–9:45 AM — Bexley
  
• Tuesday, 5:00–5:45 PM — Worthington
  
• Thursday, 10:00–10:45 AM — Worthington
  

These are substitute opportunities and are not guaranteed weekly hours.

What You'll Do

• Lead engaging music classes for preschool-aged children.
  
• Teach Chambers Music Studio's established curriculum.
  
• Lead singing, movement, rhythm, instrument, and imaginative-play activities.
  
• Maintain a positive, energetic, and well-managed classroom.
  
• Adapt activities for different ages and developmental needs.
  
• Prepare materials and review curriculum during paid preparation time.
  
• Communicate professionally with school staff and the Chambers Music Studio team.
  
• Arrive prepared, dependable, and on time.
  

What We're Looking For

Ideal candidates have experience in music, music education, early childhood education, elementary education, childcare, or another related field.

You should be comfortable singing independently, leading groups of young children, being playful and energetic, and maintaining clear classroom structure.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can connect with children, come prepared, communicate well, and be a dependable member of our team.

Compensation & Support

This is a part-time W-2 position. Starting pay is generally 20–30 per hour, depending on education, experience, and training.
