    THE SKATESIDE is looking for energetic, reliable, and positive individuals to join our team as After School Counselors. This role focuses on working with kids through skateboarding and roller skating programs that build confidence, resilience, and community.

    Position Overview
    Part-time position with shifts typically ranging from 2–3 hours per day. Hours vary based on availability and program needs.

    Locations
    Santa Monica
    South Los Angeles
    Culver City

    Schedule
    Monday through Friday: 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM (varies by site)
    Weekend shifts available: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

    What You’ll Do
    • Lead and support skateboarding and roller skating sessions for kids
    • Create a fun, safe, and encouraging environment
    • Help students build confidence, coordination, and social skills
    • Maintain structure and positive group energy
    • Communicate professionally with staff and families

    What We’re Looking For
    • Great personality with kids — patient, engaging, and positive
    • Strong reliability and timeliness (non-negotiable)
    • Team player with a willingness to learn
    • Comfortable working outdoors and staying active
    • Reliable transportation strongly preferred

    No Experience Needed
    No skateboarding or roller skating experience required — we will train you.

    Requirements
    • Must be 18 years or older
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Background Check (required)
    • Mandated Reporter Training (required)
    • TB Test (required)

    Preferred (Not Required)
    • Some college or experience working with youth
    • Interest in skateboarding, roller skating, or youth programs
