We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and clinically confident RN who understands that hospice care does not end when the office closes. The ideal candidate embraces a philosophy of being present, responsive, and supportive to patients and families whenever they need us.Hospice is responsible for symptom management and end-of-life care needs 24/7, regardless of where the patient resides. When a patient, family member, caregiver, or facility staff member calls, we operate from the belief that they are reaching out because they need support, guidance, or assistance. Visits are made whenever clinically indicated and are always offered and initiated unless the caller adamantly refuses a visit. The After-Hours RN provides skilled assessment, symptom management, education, reassurance, and hands-on support; communicates with physicians and the interdisciplinary team as needed; responds to changes in condition and urgent concerns; and helps ensure continuity of care throughout the night, and on weekends. We are looking for an RN who shares this philosophy of care - someone who takes ownership, responds without judgment, and understands that sometimes the most important thing we can provide is simply being there.
