HELP KIDS BUILD LEADERSHIP SKILLS & CONFIDENCE
Do you enjoy working with children, being creative and having fun? Then, a position in our School Age Child Care Department may be the perfect fit. Our after care counselors are responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the School Age Child Care program at our YMCA main location in Scotch Plains, NJ. Counselors provide a high level of supervision for the children in their care and assist with activities as directed by the Youth Development Director and Coordinator. The counselors work as part of a team to ensure that a safe and caring environment is provided for all children at all times.
Candidates must at least 21 years old, have a valid driver's license and their own transportation as counselors start at the elementary schools and drive to the YMCA once the children are on the bus. Counselors are required to work 3-5 days per week.
After care hours: Monday-Friday 2:45pm - 6:30pm
Pay: $17.01+ per hour, depending on experience and education
