Job Overview: We are seeking an AFSIM Modeling & Simulation Specialist to support advanced Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) efforts. This role involves creating and analyzing military simulation models to support national security and defense technologies. The position is based in Reston, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Build military models and entities of different complexity in AFSIM.
- Use scripting techniques to create realistic entity actions and interactions.
- Develop and enhance operational scenarios that represent real-world engagements.
- Support the creation and execution of MS&A study plans.
- Work with subject matter experts (pilots, technologists, etc.) to identify requirements.
- Analyze simulation results and present study findings.
- Collaborate with software development teams to improve MS&A solutions.
- Coordinate with study leads and stakeholders to identify requirements and approaches.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of related analysis experience.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on AFSIM experience (scenarios and models).
- Strong scripting or programming experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in team environments.
- Willingness to travel when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or related field.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance (or higher).
- Experience with STK, JMP, Python, C++, or R.
- Knowledge of modern military systems (domestic and foreign).
Industry Experience:
- Defense, Aerospace, and Security markets.
- Focus on national security and emerging technologies.
