PGS Worldwide is seeking Aerospace Receiving Inspectors in Chandler, Arizona for approximately six-month onsite contract-to-hire roles supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. These positions will inspect incoming flight hardware, electronic components, assemblies, and supplier documentation to ensure material meets quality, configuration, and contractual requirements before release to production.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience performing visual and dimensional inspection.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, inspection instructions, and checklists.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of inspection techniques used to verify proper identity and dimensional conformance.
Ability to identify visible defects such as corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and pits.
Familiarity with AS9100 or equivalent aerospace/defense Quality Management System requirements.
Familiarity with supplier quality requirements in a government-contract environment.
Experience with ESD and FOD control practices.
Ability to make pass/fail acceptance decisions and maintain accurate inspection records.
U.S. citizenship required.
Experience with GD&T.
Experience with TIPQA inspection-management systems.
Experience with Deltek Costpoint receiving or inspection functions.
Experience with SAP inspection modules or similar ERP quality systems.
IPC-A-610 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) or Certified IPC Trainer (CIT).
Familiarity with IPC-A-600 printed wiring board inspection.
CCAP or AS6081 counterfeit-component detection training.
Experience supporting MRB, NCR, RCCA, supplier quality, or incoming inspection in an aerospace or defense environment.
Perform receiving inspection of flight-critical machined hardware using visual, dimensional, and documentation-based inspection techniques.
Inspect electronic components, printed wiring boards, RF cable assemblies, commercial hardware, and government- or contractor-furnished equipment.
Verify Certificates of Conformance, test data, lot traceability, and applicable supplier-quality documentation.
Inspect hardware in accordance with quality specifications, work instructions, and program requirements.
Create and complete inspection records in quality-management systems.
Verify inspection-routing requirements prior to material acceptance.
Initiate Nonconformance Reports and support Material Review Board activities.
Support root-cause and corrective-action investigations when quality escapes or systemic issues are identified.
Coordinate with Procurement, Supplier Quality, and Production teams to resolve documentation and material discrepancies.
Place material on hold when documentation, configuration, or quality requirements have not been satisfied.
