Aerospace Technical InstructorLocation: Everett, WA, with up to 25% travel
Pay Rate: Up to $32.00/hour
Schedule: Approximately 40 to 43 hours per week
Travel: Up to 25%, averaging approximately one week per month to another site. Mileage will be reimbursed in accordance with client policy.

Position Overview
The client is seeking experienced
Technical Instructors to deliver technical training supporting aerospace operations. Instructors will teach technical courses, provide hands-on instruction, reinforce established procedures and standards, and help employees develop the skills necessary to perform technical work safely and effectively.
Candidates do not need to come exclusively from the aerospace industry. The client is open to candidates with strong
teaching, training, training and development, technical trainer, vocational instructor, corporate trainer, or instructor backgrounds outside of aerospace, provided they have the aptitude and relevant technical foundation to learn and effectively deliver aerospace-related course content.
Candidates who combine strong instructional capabilities with technical, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, industrial, maintenance, skilled trades, safety, or similar experience are encouraged to apply. Military veterans with relevant technical and instructional experience are strongly encouraged to apply, as individuals with military backgrounds have been highly successful in these positions.
Instructor Specialties
Candidates may be considered for one or more of the following instructional areas based on their experience.
1. Electrical Instructor
Relevant technical experience may include:
- Electrical aircraft installations and assembly work
- Electrical functional testing and troubleshooting
- Electrical crimping
- Electrical soldering
- Basic mechanical skills
- Electrical systems, wiring, installation, or related technical disciplines
2. Aerospace Mechanical Skills Instructor
Relevant technical experience may include:
- Electrical installations, bonding, and grounding
- Aircraft assembly
- Heavy structure drilling
- Aircraft or industrial maintenance
- Blueprint interpretation
- Production standards and procedures
- Functional testing
- Aircraft systems operations, familiarization, and troubleshooting
- Mechanical assembly, manufacturing, maintenance, or related technical disciplines
3. Aerospace Seal Instructor
Relevant experience may include:
- Aircraft sealant application
- Cleaning and preparing components for sealant application
- Applying sealant to aircraft components
- Comparable sealing, coating, finishing, manufacturing, or technical production experience
4. Environmental Health and Safety, EHS, Instructor
Relevant experience may include:
- Confined Space
- Lock Out Tag Tryout, LOTTO
- Department of Transportation, DOT, requirements
- Fall Protection
- Workplace safety training
- Industrial, manufacturing, construction, military, or technical safety instruction
Teaching and Training Backgrounds
Candidates may qualify through a combination of technical knowledge and instructional experience. Relevant backgrounds can include:
- Technical Instructor
- Corporate Trainer
- Training and Development Specialist
- Learning and Development Trainer
- Vocational or Trade School Instructor
- Manufacturing Trainer
- Industrial Skills Trainer
- Safety or EHS Trainer
- Military Instructor or Technical Trainer
- Maintenance Trainer
- Electrical or Mechanical Instructor
- Classroom or Adult Education Instructor with applicable technical experience
- On-the-Job Training, OJT, Instructor
- Training Facilitator
Prior aerospace instructional experience is valuable but
is not required for every candidate. Candidates with strong teaching and facilitation experience from other industries should be considered when they demonstrate the ability to learn technical material and effectively instruct others.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Strong teaching, training, facilitation, or instructional capabilities.
- Technical aptitude and the ability to learn and communicate technical subject matter.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to individuals with varying levels of experience.
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to deliver structured classroom and hands-on training.
- Ability to read, understand, and teach established technical procedures and course materials.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to represent the client effectively.
- Ability to stand for extended periods while providing all-day instruction.
- Ability to work approximately 40 to 43 hours per week.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, averaging approximately one week per month.
- Must be a U.S. citizen in accordance with client requirements.
Preferred Qualifications- Previous aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, electrical, mechanical, maintenance, industrial, skilled trades, or EHS experience.
- Previous experience teaching technical or hands-on subject matter.
- Experience in training and development, adult learning, vocational education, military instruction, or workforce development.
- Experience developing employees through classroom instruction, demonstrations, hands-on exercises, or structured on-the-job training.
- Military technical training or instructional experience is highly valued.
Physical Requirements- Ability to stand for extended periods while delivering classroom or hands-on instruction.
- Ability to perform demonstrations and other physical activities associated with technical training.
