Aerospace Plant Reliability Technician

Location: Grand Prairie, Tx

Shift: Days- 6:00AM-2:30PM

A day in this role

At 6:00 AM, you power up the plant’s critical systems and walk the production floor, listening for unusual vibrations and scanning operator notes from the prior shift. Your first task is a preventive check on a key piece of industrial equipment—verifying hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical connections using your diagnostic tools. By mid-morning, you’re collaborating with production to schedule a brief line stop so you can replace a worn component, fabricate a bracket to secure a cable run, and update the maintenance log. After lunch, a troubleshooting call has you interpreting schematics to isolate a sensor fault; you lock-out/tag-out, make the repair, confirm the fix, and return the line to service. Before 2:30 PM, you tidy the shop, stage parts for tomorrow’s PMs, and capture your work in the CMMS—keeping the operation safe, reliable, and on pace.

What you’ll own

• Proactive maintenance, inspection, and repair of industrial manufacturing machinery and support equipment.
• Diagnosis and resolution of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime.
• Execution of preventive maintenance programs that extend asset life and prevent failures.
• Reading and applying technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to plan and execute work.
• Close coordination with production to schedule work with minimal disruption.
• Accurate recordkeeping and status reporting on equipment condition.
• Strict adherence to all safety policies, including PPE and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Assistance with installation and commissioning of new machinery and upgrades.
• Participation in continuous improvement efforts to drive reliability and efficiency across the facility.
• Facilities maintenance as needed to support a safe, efficient environment.
• Safe operation of forklifts, scissor lifts, and SkyTrac material-handling equipment.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and on-the-spot fabrication of parts for repairs or enhancements.
• Clear communication with production partners and upkeep of clean, organized work areas.

What you bring

• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing setting.
• Deep familiarity with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic instruments and test equipment.
• Ability to interpret and apply technical drawings and documentation.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail; urgency in resolving issues.
• Comfort working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Clear, timely communication skills.
• Flexibility to work overtime or alternate hours when needed.
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license to travel between two plant locations.
• Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and SkyTrac safely and efficiently.
• PLC exposure is preferred.

• Lift and handle heavy tools and components.
• Push/pull 51 lbs. or more.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces as needed.
• Stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
