Help Chipton-Ross drive schedule performance, cost efficiency, and quality for a premier aerospace program in San Antonio, TX. This is a 12+ month, onsite contract where your analytics and industrial engineering toolkit will keep complex work packages on track.
Core responsibilities
- Create and maintain precedence networks aligned to production milestones.
- Develop weekly/biweekly operating plans and recovery plans using constraint-based scheduling and crew cycling.
- Run capacity/bottleneck assessments and process effectiveness studies to improve throughput.
- Deliver monthly “barge support”: schedule build and analysis, OPE insights, data analytics, alternate job routing, critical-chain tracking, and chit board facilitation.
- Leverage modeling, simulation, and statistics to optimize processes and resource utilization (people, facilities, materials, equipment).
- Plan work, analyze trend and impact data, recommend staffing and process improvements across functions.
Required background
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
- 2–5 years in project planning/scheduling/project management.
- 2–5 years as an Industrial or Production Engineer in a factory environment.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing operations and planning, engineering drawings/specs, and lean concepts (certifications are a plus).
- Hands-on experience with Python, SAS, VBA, and SQL (one or more).
- Regular and predictable attendance.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Aurora.
- Experience with IVT/Redars.
- Background in production analytics and/or Operations Research.

Education
BS in Industrial Engineering or related ABET-accredited STEM discipline.
Work setup
- Location: 100% onsite, San Antonio, TX.
- Shifts: Open to 1st and 2nd; variable shifts may be assigned. If you cannot support all/variable shifts, please do not apply.
- Overtime/weekends: As required by program needs.
Physical demands
- Walk and stand as needed on the production floor.
- Board aircraft via steps/ladders; climb and descend stairs.
