JOB TITLE: Aerospace CNC Machine Operator
LOCATION:Wichita, KS
PAY RATE: $56.00/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Assembles, installs, seals, rigs, and inspects precision structural and system components using drawings, process specifications, and quality control requirements.

  • Functional tests and corrects fit, form, and function of assemblies and components.

  • Obtains required information from prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, documents, and verbal or electronic data.

  • Uses shop mathematics and precision measuring instruments to complete work assignments and functional tests.

  • Utilizes tooling to assemble components into sub-assemblies or end items.

  • Verifies work per work instructions and engineering specifications and identifies discrepancies per applicable procedures.

  • Performs routine minor machine maintenance including filter replacement, bulb changes, and lubrication/coolant level maintenance.

  • Performs complete inspection including first part review, initiates and documents non-conforming conditions for MRB action, and maintains quality records.

  • Provides high-level technical support and leadership for assembly and installation tasks.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • 5 to 10 years of machine operation experience in the aerospace field.

  • Experience operating Automated Floor Drilling Equipment (AFDE) is preferred.

  • Experience setting up and operating conventional and CNC fastening equipment (MTGRs, Brotje, C-Frames, IPACs).

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, process specifications, and work instructions.

  • Ability to verify dimensions using mechanical and electronic measurement tools.

  • Skill in two or more specialties: Assembly/Installation Doors, Integral Fuel Cell Sealing, Precision Bench Assembly, or Pressure and Vacuum testing.

  • Experience performing complete inspection, first article review, and MRB non-conformance documentation.

  • Ability to maintain required personal certifications and quality records.
