Job Description
The Ariel Laborer is a member of a construction team that is responsible for placing aerial strand and fiber as well as placing hardware and terminals on poles.
Reports to: Construction Foreman
Essential Functions:
Aerial – placement of strand and fiber. Working off of ladders and in bucket trucks, pulling lasher and throwing rope over limbs to pull fiber. Minor tree trimming. Install equipment to dress pole to customer specifications using assorted small hand and power tools. Use equipment to install anchors into the ground. Read blueprints to interpret daily work assignments. Must be able to follow field safety guidelines and complete work in a manner that doesn’t place the Laborer or anyone in the work area in danger.
Job Requirements:
- Self-motivated with ability to following oral and written instructions
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with coworkers
- Be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Ability of operate a bucket truck safely.
- Aerial construction experience a plus
