The aerial groundman works with an aerial crew that is responsible for hanging and splicing aerial communications cables.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure the work trucks are in a neat order and clean out trash on a daily basis.
Ensure all the correct hardware and tools are on the truck every morning before the crew leaves the yard.
Provide the lineman with tools and other materials to do the job while he/she is in the bucket or on a pole.
Pull lasher and cables out by hand when needed.
Must have a valid Driver License and driving record clear according to company policy
Need to be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs everyday sometimes multiple times a day.
Must have a basic command of the English language to understand the safety requirements of the position
Proven track record of working outdoors in a physically demanding environment
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with coworkers
