    This is a 100% on-site, in-office position.  Remote or Hybrid options are NOT available

     

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Under the direction of the Assistant Advertising Director, the Advertising Specialist supports the execution of the Casino's traditional advertising and media efforts across broadcast, print, radio, outdoor, direct mail, and other non-digital channels. This role coordinates the day-to-day trafficking, placement, and tracking of advertising, assists with media buying and vendor coordination, and helps ensure campaigns are deployed accurately, on brand, and on schedule in support of property business goals. The Advertising Specialist works in coordination with the in-house creative team, who own creative asset development, to move advertising from plan to placement.

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

    1. Promote and support a culture of excellence at Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino by modeling STRC values, delivering exceptional guest service, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
    2. Provide exceptional guest service throughout all interactions.
    3. Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming regulations, internal controls, and departmental policies, including requirements of the Gaming Commission and applicable state and federal authorities.
    4. Coordinate the placement and trafficking of traditional advertising across broadcast, print, radio, outdoor, direct mail, and other non-digital channels, meeting media deadlines and specifications.
    5. Assist the Assistant Advertising Director with media planning and buying, including gathering rates, availabilities, and specifications from media outlets and vendors.
    6. Submit advertising materials to media outlets and vendors, confirming correct specifications, run dates, placements, and receipt of proofs and tearsheets.
    7. Track advertising performance, placement accuracy, and campaign pacing, compiling reports and recaps for the Assistant Advertising Director.
    8. Coordinate with the in-house creative team to request, route, and deliver advertising assets on brand, to specification, and on schedule, respecting established creative review and approval.
    9. Support sponsorship and partnership fulfillment, coordinating advertising placements, co-branded materials, and deliverables with sponsors and partners.
    10. Monitor advertising spend against budget, maintaining accurate records of insertion orders, invoices, and vendor costs.
    11. Ensure all advertising complies with applicable advertising regulations, including restrictions on claims, imagery, and promotional offers, routing items for review as needed.
    12. Maintain organized files, media calendars, and documentation for all advertising campaigns and vendor relationships.
    13. Demonstrate dependability and reliability by maintaining regular, punctual attendance and consistently fulfilling assigned shifts and responsibilities.
    14. Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive and safe work environment; promote healthy team member relations and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
    15. Perform other duties as assigned.
    What You'll Bring:

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

    Education & Experience

    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field. A combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
    • Two (2) years' experience in advertising, media coordination, traffic, or a comparable marketing role, preferably in a casino, hospitality, media, or agency environment.
    • Familiarity with traditional media channels (broadcast, print, radio, outdoor, direct mail) and advertising trafficking or placement workflows.
    • Experience coordinating with vendors, media outlets, or creative teams.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with media-buying, project-management, or proofing tools.
    • Willing and available to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events

    Skills, Abilities & Competencies

    • Strong organizational, time-management, and detail-tracking skills, with the ability to manage multiple placements and deadlines accurately in a fast-paced environment.
    • Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and external contacts. Read, write, and speak English fluently.

    • Move efficiently throughout the work area
    Regulatory & Compliance Responsibilities:

    Obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
