Position: AVID Tutors for 2026-2027 School Year
Description: Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Tutors at Osbourn High School for 2025-2026 School Year - Temporary/Hourly
General Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the AVID District Director, AVID elective teacher(s) and school administrators, the AVID Tutor is responsible for facilitating the AVID program related to tutorial learning process, implementing methodologies, and supporting the college readiness system at the middle and high school during the school day. AVID tutors provide supplemental instructional tutoring services to assigned students individually and/or in study groups.

Physical Requirements:
Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to: a personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. Some climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, or repetitive motions required.
