The Advancement Services and Prospect Research Manager serves as the primary steward of advancement data and fundraising technology, ensuring that Salesforce and related systems provide accurate, reliable, and actionable information to support fundraising, donor engagement, and organizational decision-making. The position also provides systems, data, and reporting support for grant-related activities

The position is responsible for maintaining the integrity and structure of constituent and fundraising data; developing reports, dashboards, and analytics; supporting and configuring Salesforce for advancement operations; and translating fundraising and business needs into effective data processes and solutions. The position also provides prospect and portfolio analytics, supports gift and pledge reconciliation, establishes data standards and procedures, and trains advancement staff in the effective use of Salesforce.

The purpose of the position is to transform advancement data into a reliable organizational resource-ensuring that the organization can accurately measure fundraising performance, understand and manage its donor pipeline, make informed decisions, and fully realize the capabilities of its investment in Salesforce.

Minimum Qualifications:

KSA's:

• Experience in Salesforce, including the ability to make database system modifications, produce queries and reports, and update records. Knowledge and understanding of best practices in Salesforce administration and management.
• Demonstrated ability to perform research on individuals, foundations and corporations at a high level using a variety of resources. Understand what constitutes relevant and strategic information and how to analyze the data to support prospect development.
• Proficient in conceptualizing and developing proactive prospecting methodologies to support organizational goals and understand the role of prospect research in a sophisticated development program.
• Knowledge of current trends in prospect management, prospect research, and fundraising campaigns.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, including strong written and verbal skills.
• Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information with the highest professional and ethical standards.

Education and Experience Required:

• A combination of relevant education and experience that provide the required level of knowledge, skills and ability to successfully perform the functions of the job requirements.
• Experience indicating knowledge and ability to successfully perform functions defined.
• Nonprofit prospect research experience.
