    Description

    As an Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and support of Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) systems for our customers. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of complex projects and providing technical expertise in the field of Inertial Measurement. Your work will directly contribute to the advancement of our technological capabilities and the success of our business and our customers.

    You will report directly to our IMU Senior Engineering Manager and you will work out of our Minneapolis, Minnesota location on a hybrid work schedule.

    In this role, you will impact the development and improvement of IMU systems, ensuring their accuracy, reliability, and performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, design solutions, validate system performance, and support on-site manufacturing growth. Your expertise will be crucial in the development of new products and the support of existing product lines including, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, as well as providing guidance and support to junior engineers.

    YOU MUST HAVE

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
    • 7 or more years of experience in systems engineering, preferably in the field of guidance and navigation
    • Strong knowledge of IMU technology and its applications
    • Experience with requirements management and product development across the product lifecycle
    • Experience in system-level testing and validation
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

    WE VALUE

    • Master''s degree in a technical discipline
    • Experience with inertial measurement and/or guidance and navigation
    • Experience working in production environment, supporting capacity improvements, yield investigations, obsolescence, etc
    • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to IMU systems
    • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
