Your Role

Akkodis is seeking an Advanced Specialist AI Scientist for a Contract with a client in Durham, NC. The ideal candidate is responsible for developing and advancing AI-driven solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to AgentOps initiatives that drive AI transformation and innovation in learning experiences.

Rate Range: $90/Hour to $98/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Advanced Specialist AI Scientist Job Responsibilities include:

• Train, fine-tune, and optimize Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI/ML models using Python and deep learning frameworks.

• Develop, evaluate, and improve model performance through rigorous testing, experimentation, and validation methodologies.

• Design and implement AI agents and AgentOps solutions that support Pearson's AI transformation initiatives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and business stakeholders, to deliver scalable AI-powered solutions.

• Leverage public cloud platforms and AI services to build, deploy, and maintain machine learning applications.

• Research emerging AI technologies and contribute innovative solutions that enhance learning and educational content experiences.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related technical field.

• 8-10 years of experience in AI/ML development, with hands-on experience in training and fine-tuning language models, preferably LLMs.

• Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) with experience working on GPU-based infrastructure.

• Experience with public cloud AI services, AI Agents/AgentOps, and model evaluation techniques to measure and improve AI model performance.

Pay Details: $90.00 to $98.00 per hour
