PGS Worldwide is seeking an Advanced Production Quality Planning Engineer in Littleton, CO for a 14-month contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Advanced Production Quality Planning Engineer will support manufacturing process planning, production layouts, quality planning, and process improvement for aerospace production operations. This role focuses on Advanced Product Quality Planning, AS9145 standards, production efficiency, corrective action, and ensuring manufacturing processes meet quality and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
• Bachelor’s degree with 11+ years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 9+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced Product Quality Planning experience.
• Experience with AS9145 standards.
• Experience designing manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts.
• Experience supporting assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, or material handling.
• Ability to design machine arrangements within plant facilities to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Ability to define sequence of operations and procedures for fabrication of tools and equipment.
• Ability to incorporate inspection and test requirements into production planning.
• Experience investigating machinery, equipment, tool, process, or quality deficiencies.
• Ability to initiate corrective actions to support product quality.
• Ability to develop manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control.
• Ability to provide engineering guidance on design concepts and specification requirements.
• Ability to ensure processes and procedures comply with applicable regulations.
What You’ll Do
• Support Advanced Production Quality Planning activities.
• Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts.
• Plan production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.
• Design efficient machine arrangements within plant facilities.
• Define operation sequences and procedures for tool and equipment fabrication.
• Adapt machine or equipment designs to factory and production conditions.
• Incorporate inspection and test requirements into production plans.
• Inspect machinery, equipment, and tool performance to verify efficiency.
• Investigate problems and deficiencies impacting quality or production performance.
• Initiate corrective actions to support product quality.
• Develop manufacturing processes and statistical process control techniques.
• Advise engineering teams on design concepts and manufacturing specification requirements.
• Ensure manufacturing processes and procedures comply with regulations.
