    Works collaboratively with physicians to provide comprehensive specialty care across the continuum of care. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, performing rounds, presenting patients, and managing care in the CPACU, step-down, and telemetry units. The APP will collaborate closely with ICU and multidisciplinary care teams, complete H&Ps, consultations, and discharge planning, and provide care for both pre- and post-procedural patients. Additional duties include diagnosing and treating medical conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and delivering patient and family education.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct patient consultations, health histories, and physical examinations.
    • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, including prescribing medications and ordering diagnostic tests.
    • Round on patients and present cases to physicians and the care team.
    • Manage patients in the CPACU, step-down, and telemetry units.
    • Perform H&Ps, consultations, and discharge evaluations.
    • Provide care for both pre- and post-procedural patients.
    • Collaborate with physicians, ICU staff, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
    • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and ongoing care needs.
    • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
