The Division of Cardiology at UVA Healths Heart and Vascular Center is dedicated to enhancing care models that increase access, improve health outcomes, and support patients and families throughout Central Virginia. UVA Health is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) specialized in managing acute cardiology patients to join our esteemed team. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside leading general cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, and electrophysiologists in a dynamic care team, providing comprehensive care to patients admitted with acute cardiac conditions like acute coronary syndromes, acute heart failure, arrhythmias, pacemaker/defibrillator malfunction or infection, transcatheter valve patients and patients undergoing antiarrhythmic drug loads. The APP is involved in procedures by performing direct current cardioversions. UVA participates in research related to cutting edge advanced diagnostic modalities and treatments in the field of cardiology and APPs play an integral role in the management of these patients.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); Repetitive motion: computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to noise, radiation, radioactive materials, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
The starting base rate for this role is $116,123.00 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidates qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
