Please note: This is not a direct patient care role, it is a nursing leadership role within the Mental Health patient population across all 8 HealthPartners hospitals.
Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, experienced Advanced Practice Nursing Specialist to join our Mental Health team across Health Partners System. The Advanced Practice Nurse Specialist is a clinical leader such as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) or Nurse Practitioner (CNP).
This advanced nursing practice role is focused on influencing patient care, nursing practice and organizational change. This role attends to the needs of patients in a particular population wherever they may present along the continuum of care. This role coordinates complex patient care, evaluates patient care outcomes, utilizes, and conducts clinical research, provides professional consultation, and promotes interdisciplinary collaboration. This role also develops tools (e.g., critical pathways, order sets, guidelines, protocols, and policies) which facilitate care rendered by others in basic practice. This role embeds evidence into clinical practice, leads committees and workgroups in quality improvement, and provides innovative solutions throughout the system.
This role supports regulatory, quality improvement, nursing practice, standards of care and focuses across all 8 hospitals. Priorities in this role are:
Maintain behavioral health regulatory readiness and timely follow-through on identified gaps.
Lead proactive suicide prevention, restraint and seclusion, ingestion, elopement, and environmental safety improvement work.
Standardize evidence-based policies, care models, competencies, education, and Epic workflows across supported sites.
Expand complex-patient consultation and support for nurses managing high-risk behavioral health care.
Strengthen data surveillance, quality-measure stewardship, dashboards, outcome evaluation, and reporting of clinical and operational impact.
Work Schedule: 1.0 FTE, Day Shifts. No scheduled weekends. Exempt.
