Position: Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) - Outpatient Clinic

Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited school/college of nursing OR master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Current license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
- Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by a national certifying body approved by the Illinois Department of Regulation APRN Board
- Minimum of two (2) years of APP experience
- Bilingual with Spanish, strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients and order tests and procedures in the outpatient setting
- Manage a wide range of health problems through clinical expertise
- Ensure positive health outcomes for assigned patient population
- Perform health assessments and physical examinations
- Provide direct clinical care, including prescription and ordering of medications and therapies
- Evaluate patients' need for further healthcare
- Document care and education provided in medical records
- Refer patients to other disciplines when necessary
- Integrate research-based knowledge in decision making
- Advocate for patients, families, coworkers, and the community
- Maintain licensure and certifications through continuing education
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals
- Participate in quality improvement and research initiatives
- Provide comprehensive teaching strategies for patients and their families
- Develop and participate in continuing education programs for staff
