    Summary

    Reports to the Vice President (BMG). Responsibilities include planning and development of Advanced Practice Clinician strategies and implementing Advanced Practice Clinician recruitment activities. Facilitates the selection of candidates, coordinates contract negotiations and manages relocation of Advanced Practice Clinicians. Ensures that all appropriate testing and compliance requirements are completed. Maintains effective working relationships with individuals within Beacon Health System (BHS) and externally. Actively seeks to develop professional contacts through networking.

    Performs Advanced Practice Clinician recruitment functions by:

    • Sourcing internal candidates for identified needs through various approaches, which includes telephone, personal contacts, HR referrals, local educational institutions with master level programs.

    • Validating and documenting references, education and required licenses/certifications.

    • Assisting with the extension of an offer and the finalization of a written agreement.

    • Maintaining ongoing contact with the successful candidate and addressing the candidate's needs prior to the commencement of their employment.

    • Providing benefits and pay-related information to the successful candidate; also answering any questions they may have. Also following up (as necessary) regarding any paperwork that is required.

    • Facilitating the various activities associated with relocation in conjunction with the Human Resources Department.

    • Communicating with BMG Vice President and Executive Directors, in a timely manner, regarding possible problems and critical recruitment needs and/or issues.

    Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with relevant persons within, and external to, Beacon Health System by:

    • Developing and maintaining a positive and pro-active relationship with appropriate associations, Advanced Practice Clinician programs and Advanced Practice Clinicians.

    • Ensuring the timely dissemination of information to appropriate parties regarding the recruitment and selection of Advanced Practice Clinicians.

    • Participating in developing growth strategies and programs.

    • Co-Leads Advanced Practice Clinicians Council Dyad to keep pulse on providers.

    Performs administrative functions through the utilization of Advanced Practice Clinician Recruitment Management System - ACT by:

    • Monitoring progress in the identification and interviewing of candidates.

    • Processing candidate information to the 'ready to hire' stage of the hiring process.

    • Keeping candidates informed of their status throughout the recruitment/onboarding process.

    • Logging and tracking job offers.

    • Working in tandem with Human Resource Department supplying information for offers, start date timing and pertinent data in a timely manner (for example, so it can be entered into PeopleSoft).

    • Identifying and evaluating trends on Advanced Practice Clinician recruitment, including location-related conditions, economic conditions and competitive institutions in order to develop strategic plans to respond to these trends.

    • Works closely with HR recruiter/BMG VP/BMG Directors, Exec Directors, Office Managers and credentialing departments to efficiently and effectively provide pertinent information and documentation to onboard new Advanced Practice Clinicians in a timely manner.

    • Maintains listing of physicians who receive supervisory dollars for APC oversite and reports changes to payroll.

    • Monitors IPLA site for provider information accuracy.

    Maintains personal competency and contributes to the overall effectiveness of Beacon Medical Group (BMG) by:

    • Attending in-services and department meetings; also participating in continuing education and attending conferences as approved.

    • Collaborating with the Vice President in the formulation of policies and procedures for the operation of the Advanced Practice Clinician search function and the establishment of goals and objectives.

    • Tracking the effectiveness of various recruitment approaches. Also developing other potential sources of candidates.

    • Providing highest-quality customer service to all candidates.

    • Providing service line input to the Vice President and Executive Directors on the development of an annual operating budget and activities to achieve the cost effective utilization of resources.

    • Maintaining all related records and preparing reports as directed.

    • Completing other job-related assignments and special projects as directed.

    ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    Associate complies with the following organizational requirements:

    • Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared.

    • Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes.

    • Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.

    • Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.

    • Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department.

    • Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.

    • Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.

    • Complies with established organization and department policies.

    • Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.

    Education and Experience

    • The knowledge, skills, and abilities indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of degree. A minimum of three years of prior recruiting work experience is required; Advanced Practice Clinician recruiting experience is preferred.

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of health care recruiting, employment law, professional recruiting techniques and standards, regulations and health care operations.

    • Requires knowledge of Beacon Health System's compensation and benefits programs for Advanced Practice Clinicians; also requires knowledge of health care operations.

    • Demonstrates the communication skills (both verbal and written) necessary to interact tactfully with a wide range of contacts. Also requires presentation skills.

    • Requires the interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships, interact effectively with Advanced Practice Clinicians and other professionals and successfully negotiate employment contracts.

    • Requires solid organization, planning, decision making, negotiating, problem-solving and analytical skills.

    • Requires the ability to exercise diplomacy, discretion, sound judgment and flexibility in various situations; also must maintain confidentiality.

    • Requires the ability to be attentive to details and to follow up on various activities in a timely manner.

    • Requires proficient computer skills. Also requires knowledge of the Internet as it applies to recruitment-related activities.

    Working Conditions

    • Works in an office environment.

    • Some travel is required.

    • A flexible schedule is required. Must be available to contact candidates in the evening and on weekends.

    Physical Demands

    • Requires the physical ability and stamina necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
