    Description

Are You the Machinist Everyone Turns To?

Picture this: a complex, multi-face part needs weekend coverage. Tooling must be chosen, fixtures updated, a program pulled and lightly edited, and the first-article verified—fast. If that challenge excites you, read on.

We’re Hiring for Two Weekend Roles

    • Horizontal Mill III — Weekend Shift
    • Vertical Mill II — Weekend Shift

    Weekend Hours

    • Friday: 12:30 pm – 1:00 am
    • Saturday & Sunday: 11:30 am – 12:00 am

    Your Mission

Own the machining process end-to-end with limited direction. From setup to operation, you’ll ensure parts meet customer specs while continuously dialing in efficiency.

    How You’ll Win

    • Set up and run CNC milling centers, installing tooling, refreshing fixtures, and retrieving programs; make minor adjustments as needed.
    • Handle rotary/indexing for 3–5 axis work confidently.
    • Validate feeds and speeds, then optimize to reduce cycle time and variation.
    • Measure parts to print with proper gauges; record findings and deburr as you go.
    • Document everything—program updates, setup notes, and photos—for repeatability.
    • Use the Shop Floor Control System to sequence work; clock operations by work-order step.
    • Perform light preventive maintenance; keep the area neat, safe, and audit-ready.
    • Be the teammate peers rely on; communicate professionally across departments.
    • Prepare operators before release to production; mentor new hires and apprentices.
    • Team up to troubleshoot issues and conduct quality checks on output.
    • Hit agreed goals on schedule and contribute ideas to the department’s strategic plan.
    • Operate within ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 requirements; comply with OSHA and all PPE standards.

    What You Need to Bring

    • About 5 years of hands-on CNC milling experience with proven setup/operation ability.
    • Vocational training enrollment/completion or a four-year formal apprenticeship preferred.
    • Strong blueprint reading with GD&T; deep familiarity with standard inspection practices.
    • Knowledge of CNC programming with G & M code; capable of light edits and offsets.
    • Basic–intermediate tool probe use.
    • Attention to detail, ownership mindset, and collaborative working style.

If you’re ready to take responsibility for process, precision, and pace every weekend, we’d like to meet you.
