Summary:
The Advance Practice Provider is responsible for the day-to-day activities related to recovering organs for transplant, including but not limited to taking administrative/clinical call, comprehensive donor management, as well as assisting in OR as needed. Additional responsibilities include directing donor management and advance practice procedures, such as liver biopsy, bronchoscopy, line placement, and additional unlisted procedures at the direction of the Chief Medical Officer to maximize the gift of organ donation. The Advance Practice Provider will also be expected to assist in the development and implementation of training materials and competency assessments for organ recovery coordinators and clinical specialists.
