Position Summary:
The Adult Therapist provides high-quality, client-centered mental health services to adult individuals in a clinic-based setting. The ideal candidate is dedicated to improving the emotional well-being and functioning of adults through evidence-based therapeutic practices. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering individual and/or group therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
- Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy using evidence-based practices.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with agency policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and clinical supervision.
- Monitor client progress and modify treatment as needed.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
- Ensure services are delivered in a culturally competent and trauma-informed manner.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Licensure or license-eligibility in the state of practice (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT).
- Prior experience providing outpatient therapy to adults is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DSM-5, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment & Schedule:
- This is an exempt, full-time position.
- Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST
- This position requires in-person work and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements.
- This position is based in a clinical outpatient setting and may require prolonged periods of sitting, computer use, and interaction with clients in person and/or via telehealth platforms. - Therapists work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that requires flexibility, empathy, and strong crisis intervention skills.
- The role involves direct client interaction in both individual and group settings, with support from a multidisciplinary team.
Transportation Requirements:
- Provide transportation for consumers as needed using agency or personal vehicles.
- Maintain a safe driving record and valid driver’s license with personal liability insurance.
- Follow all agency transportation policies, including seatbelt usage, safe cellphone practices, and vehicle documentation.
- Immediately report any vehicle issues, accidents, or violations to appropriate personnel.
In-Service Training & Continued Education Requirements:
- Participate in all required agency in-service and ADMH trainings
- Commitment to ongoing professional development to enhance skills and stay informed on best practices in behavioral health.
- Completion of onboarding and any continuing education requirements as directed by the agency or supervisor.
- Ongoing professional development to maintain best practices and compliance with evolving standards of care.
