Adult Probation Officer 1/2B

The Department of Corrections, Division of Pretrial, Probation & Parole, is recruiting for an Adult Probation Officer 1/2B located in Palmer, Alaska. 

What You Will Be Doing:

Job duties of a field Probation Officer include working directly with felony offenders by conducting office meetings, interviews, completing risk/need assessments, urinalysis tests, providing referrals for treatment needs, conducting field contacts, as well as violation arrests.  This position may be tasked with conducting presentence investigations and preparing reports for the Court.

The Palmer Adult Probation Office is responsible for the supervision of the Matanuska-Susitna Valley extending to Talkeetna, Cordova, Glennallen, and Valdez. Travel is a required perk of the job.
