Design courses for adults seeking fun and fulfillment through personal growth, practical knowledge, and skill development. Instructors design and teach approved original courses, completing all necessary forms and submitting accurate course descriptions, bios, and promote materials by catalog deadlines.2. Work with SoWashCo staff to confirm classroom space, technology requirements, and special setup needs prior to the class start date.3. Deliver accessible, high-engagement instruction designed for beginners while seamlessly adapting to accommodate varying skill levels and learning preferences.4. Monitor participant engagement, maintain a safe and positive learning space, and adhere to district policies, facility rules, and emergency protocols.5. Prepare and share all materials with participants, track and enter attendance in the Arux app, and promptly communicate any unexpected absences or rescheduling needs to staff and students.6. Submit invoices and payroll vouchers on specified deadlines.7. Leverage participant survey feedback to continuously refine course content and enhance the learning experience.JOB SPECIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, LICENSE, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):Required:Possess the ability to share knowledge clearly and inspiringly; demonstrate skill and teaching experience through provided examples, references, or products.Arrive early for setup and reliably deliver approved class content as agreed upon.Positive Communication: Maintain clear, welcoming, and timely digital, written, and verbal communication with participants and SoWashCo staffescalating any pre-class issues directly to staff rather than public forums.Demonstrate an appreciation for diversity and maintain a welcoming environment in all interactions.Successfully pass a required background check.Desired QualificationsPrior experience teaching adult learners across diverse backgrounds, generations, and learning styles, including English language learners and individuals with developmental disabilities.Possess an understanding of how adults learn new skills.
