    Job Summary

    Job Summary

    Assists teachers in the Adult Secondary Education (ASE) program at West Contra Costa Adult Education. The position is 4 days per week, Monday through Thursday, 6 hours per day. Spends a minimum of 12 hours each week in scheduled ASE classes: 2 days and 2 nights assisting teachers as needed; plus an additional 12 hours each week performing instructional and programmatic support outside of scheduled class hours. Total = 24 hours per week. Example of Duties: Facilitate New Teacher Orientation, assist teachers with various online educational platforms, assist teachers with developing and implementing modes of instruction, orchestrate student skill monitoring, support student "wrap around" service, facilitate monthly professional development, assist with planning and practice of graduation, lead college and career field trips as needed. Must possess a California Adult Education Designated Subjects Teaching Credential or California Multiple Subject Credential.

    Current California Teaching Credential Official (sealed or direct email from educational institution) transcripts showing evidence that a Bachelors Degree or higher was awarded. Current Resume Three current letters of reference During onboarding process, provide current T.B. test results dated within the last year and your Covid Vaccine Card. Please Note: All applicants MUST have fingerprint clearance through our district (WCCUSD) prior to being hired. Must hold a valid Single Subject or Multiple Subject teaching credential, or valid clear or preliminary Adult Education Teaching Credential.
