Its high schools include Arroyo, El Monte, Mountain View, Rosemead, South El Monte and Fernando R. Ledesma High School. EMUHSD also features the El Monte-Rosemead Adult School, one of California's largest and most respected adult programs. EMUHSD employs over 600 certificated employees and over 500 classified employees. The professional staff provides educational programs for over 7,000 students in grades 9 through 12 and 11,000 in adult education. Requirements / Qualifications

  • A current California RN license is required. • A minimum total of three (3) years of work experience as a nurse or nursing instructor, or a combination of both, with at least one year's experience working in a long term care facility. • One year of experience in "Planning, Implementing, and Evaluation Education Programs in Nursing" o Or Proof of 24-hour California Board of registered Nurses approved course certificate of completion for "Planning, Implementing, and Evaluation Education Programs in Nursing" o Or Transcript from an accredited educational institute of a course(s) in "Planning, Implementing, and Evaluation Education Programs in Nursing" • Must hold California Designated Subjects Teaching Credential for Adult Education. (See www.ctc.ca.gov/credentials/CREDS/adult-voc-ed.html) • Must hold Director of Staff Development Certificate and meet the qualifications for a Certified Nursing Assistant Director (See www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CHCQ/LCP/pages/TPRU.aspx) Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply
