About This Role:

In this role, you'll provide leadership, direction, and support to a multidisciplinary team including Health Aides, Recreation Specialist, and volunteers. Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with state and federal ADHC regulations, Medicaid requirements, and organizational policies. Monitor and maintain the quality of participant care, ensuring care plans are followed and updated as needed. Coordinate with families, caregivers, and healthcare providers to support participant well-being. Manage budgets, staffing schedules, and resource allocation. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in participant records and organizational reports. Ensure the facility is safe, welcoming, and well-maintained. Lead preparations for licensing visits, audits, and inspections. Resolve participant, family, and staff concerns with professionalism and empathy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • The director shall demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities in the administration and management of the adult day program, including (i) knowledge and understanding of the population being served by the center, (ii) supervisory and interpersonal skills, (iii) ability to plan and implement the program, and (iv) knowledge of financial management sufficient to ensure program development and continuity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or current licensure as a nursing home administrator or assisted living facility administrator from the Board of Long-Term Care Administrators; or Current licensure in Virginia as a registered nurse.
  • 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within an Adult Day Health Care program, Long-Term Care Facility, or Community-Based Program serving older adults and individuals with disabilities and cognitive impairments.

Preferences: We're looking for a candidate who brings:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Nursing, Health Administration, or related field
  • Proficiency with electronic database systems for record keeping
  • 3 or more years in a leadership role within an Adult Day Health Care program, long-term care, or community-based program serving older adults with disabilities and cognitive impairments
  • Advanced knowledge of Medicaid billing, site audits, and compliance processes
  • Advanced knowledge of Assessment Tools and Care Plan development
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively engage with diverse populations
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, flexibility, and a positive attitude
  • Experience in service coordination, including assessing client needs and linking them to appropriate resources
  • 3 years of experience in implementing policies, procedures, and process improvements to enhance program delivery
  • Experience with state licensing, Medicaid, or other regulatory compliance requirements in an ADHC or similar setting.

Special Requirements:

  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Must pass DMV Record check
  • Must possess a valid drivers license
  • Designated mandatory reporter of elder abuse
  • Must complete the state pre-licensure orientation within 90 days of employment
  • Must take CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification within 90 days of employment
  • Must take a health physical, TB test, and be cleared for employment
  • Complete 24 hours of continuing education training annually to maintain and develop skills and for compliance
  • Be at least 21 years of age

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility to adjust hours to ensure adequate staff coverage between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Telework eligible after 12-month probationary period.

Hiring Salary Range: $91,162.50 - $121,836.00/Annually
