Description

About the Role

This is a hands-on production and analysis contract seat at a major streaming and connected-TV advertising organization, created to absorb a heavy second-half deliverable load while the team covers a leave and builds toward permanent headcount. The contractor supports two ads measurement teams simultaneously, pulling and formatting data, building case studies, maintaining research libraries, and sourcing audience statistics that help ad sellers tell a compelling story. The volume is high and the pace is real; this is an execution role, not a strategy seat, and deliverables flow to internal managers and specialists rather than to advertisers or agencies.

The ideal candidate has spent five or more years working with media measurement and audience data and is completely comfortable executing at volume without daily hand-holding. They know their way around large Excel pulls, can format polished PowerPoint decks inside an established template, and have the judgment to move an ask forward independently. Experience with ratings platforms and a background at a media company, agency, or measurement vendor will make the transition into this work fast and natural.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Download and pull data from internal dashboards and third-party measurement platforms, then load it into standardized reporting templates
  2. Produce campaign wrap reports at high volume across advertiser verticals including CPG and Health, working alongside the specialists who own each pod
  3. Build and refresh case studies, blinding client-identifying material and formatting content into templated PowerPoint decks
  4. Maintain case studies, benchmarks, and insight materials in Airtable so resources stay current and reusable across measurement and sales teams
  5. Compile historical ratings and audience data to support tune-in estimates for live programming including NFL and boxing
  6. Source and synthesize data points that help ad sellers position the audience and build audience narratives
  7. Support brand fit and survey-based research studies, including survey development and questionnaire drafting
  8. Flex across both teams week to week, shifting between projects and priorities based on business need

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5 or more years in advertising measurement, media research, ad sales research, or marketing analytics
  • Hands-on experience working with ratings and aggregated audience data
  • Advanced Excel skills, including large data pulls and building repeatable reporting
  • Strong PowerPoint production skills with comfort working inside established templates rather than designing from scratch
  • Proven ability to produce a high volume of deliverables accurately and on deadline
  • Self-directed working style; able to take an ask and move it forward without daily direction
  • Comfortable operating as a shared resource across multiple teams and stakeholders rather than owning one dedicated workstream
  • Based in the New York metro area and able to work onsite Tuesday through Thursday

Preferred Skills

  • Linear television background, particularly ad sales research at a network or media owner
  • Experience with Nielsen NPower, Nielsen National TV, VideoAmp VXM-C, or Comscore; Nielsen platform familiarity is especially useful
  • Background at a comparable media company, media agency, or measurement vendor such as Nielsen or Comscore
  • Experience with live sports or live event ratings and tune-in estimation
  • Familiarity with Airtable or comparable database and workflow tools
  • Survey design and questionnaire development experience, including Lucid or similar sampling platforms
  • Brand lift, brand effectiveness, or brand outcome measurement experience, particularly in CPG or Health verticals
  • Experience using AI tools to speed up analysis and scale the production of insights and deliverables
