You will be the ADP Technical Publications Manager - Level 5, reporting to the Senior Manager of F-35 Joint - Service Technical Data (JTD) & ADP Technical Publications.

What You Will Be Doing:

As the ADP Technical Publications Manager - Level 5, you will manage a geographically dispersed team with disparate skills and tasks. You will manage the teams developing and authoring interactive electronic technical publications (IETP) for complex military aeronautics systems. It requires familiarity with technical publications including flight manuals, maintenance manuals, and software users manuals. Duties include oversight of ADP Technical Publications team members responsible for a variety of disciplines required to produce and deliver Technical Publications. You will build, grow, and maintain a strong authoring and scheduling team. Provide personnel assignments, growth opportunities, and productive job experiences. Manage budgets and schedules for estimating, producing, updating, publishing, delivering, and providing quality technical publications on time and within budget. Provide direction when necessary for problem resolution during development.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Leading technical writing teams, managing the design and production of IETP, and day-to-day matters
• Demonstrating Full-Spectrum Leadership imperatives.
• Effectively communicating and working with multiple engineering, software, supportability, flight test, and logistics disciplines.
• Manage collaboration with customer, program management, and end-user personnel.

You will have general experience and knowledge of aircraft operation and maintenance, being able to leverage that experience in planning and decision-making. Reporting to the Sustainment Engineering Directorate, they will ensure performance of the teams for ADP program stakeholders. Experience in converting technical manual data to International Specification S1000D is a plus. Requires a working knowledge of ADP development processes along with a basic understanding of the contract and proposal estimating sphere. Also requires strong decision-making skills under pressure and the ability to constructively work with multiple E&T, Integration Office, Program Management, and Sustainment Organizations. With such a diverse group, skills in Full Spectrum Leadership principles and dealing with different personalities and behaviors is paramount to maintaining a cohesive workforce, given the varied experience levels of the team members. You must have an ability to interact with team members, internal customers, and external customers based on a rapport that promotes trust and transparency.

Basic Qualifications

• Holds Final DoD Secret clearance prior to start, with ability to gain ADP Program Briefing(s)
• Prior military or commercial aircraft experience with technical publications and technical order development systems and goals
• Experience interfacing with operational and maintenance personnel in dynamic operational work environments
• Experience presenting to internal and external customers and leadership
• Experience providing estimates, proposals, and/or budgets
• Demonstrated experience in formally leading diverse teams or informally leading project teams while resolving internal and external customer issues

Desired Skills

• Bachelors Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
• Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership (Shape the Future, Build Effective Relationships,Energize the Team, Deliver Results, Model Personal Excellence, Integrity and Accountability)
• Excellent communication, change management, and organizational skills
• Experience leading teams developing and authoring interactive electronic technical publications
• Experience establishing and defining S1000D Functionality Matrixes and Business Rules
• Experience writing and publishing IETP
• Familiarity with JIRA, Contenta, Siemens TeamCenter, and/or Dassault 3DX is a plus
• Self-starter and able to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic work environment
• Demonstrated ability to understand internal and external customer requirements and negotiatesolutions that produce a positive outcome.
• Ability to effectively represent Sustainment Engineering within the Sustainment Operationsorganization, including to the Line of Business Integrators.
• Ability to organize and motivate a diverse set of individuals as "team players" to act as "one" inthe pursuit of common objectives.
• Experience with Earned Value and proposal development.
• Ability to constructively work with the Program Management Org.
• Proven experience as a strategic thinker with the ability to translate into action and results.

• Strong decision-making skills under pressure.
• Experience supporting a government customer and wide variety of customers.
• Operational Excellence (OpEx)/Accelerating Performance Excellence (APEX) experience orGreen/Black Belt training or certification.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $145100.00 - $269500.00

• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
