Position Summary
The ADMS Solution Architect will provide technical leadership for the architecture, design, and integration of Operational Technology (OT) network infrastructure supporting the client's Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) modernization initiatives.
This role will be responsible for designing secure, resilient, and highly available network architectures that support ADMS and integrated utility systems, including SCADA, OMS, DMS, DERMS, GIS, Historian, ICCP, and other enterprise platforms. The architect will collaborate closely with Grid Operations, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, SCADA Engineering, vendors, and utility stakeholders to deliver reliable real-time operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design secure, scalable, and highly available network architectures supporting ADMS and utility OT environments.
• Develop network topology diagrams, communication path designs, firewall architectures, segmentation strategies, redundancy models, and high-availability solutions.
• Document IP addressing schemes, routing strategies, interface mappings, firewall rules, and infrastructure standards.
• Support the architecture and integration of ADMS, SCADA, OMS, DMS, DERMS, GIS, Historian, ICCP, and related utility systems.
• Design communication paths supporting telemetry, control center connectivity, and real-time operational data flows.
• Support hybrid enterprise and OT infrastructure integration.
• Design secure OT/IT boundary architectures and network segmentation.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams to implement secure communications and compliance-aligned network designs.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, failover testing, and operational readiness assessments.
• Review vendor deliverables and technical documentation.
• Support system testing, validation, deployment planning, and production readiness activities.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Network Architecture, OT Infrastructure, or mission-critical Operational Technology environments.
• Strong experience with LAN/WAN architecture, routing, switching, VLANs, network segmentation, redundancy, failover, and high-availability solutions.
• Experience designing or supporting OT network environments.
• Experience with enterprise firewall platforms such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, or Juniper.
• Strong understanding of OT/IT boundary architectures and industrial cybersecurity principles.
• Experience documenting network architectures, IP schemas, routing designs, firewall rules, and infrastructure standards.
• Experience supporting VMware and other enterprise virtualization technologies.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
