  • The Admissions Recruiter will report directly to the Assistant Director of Admissions and Recruitment and will work on assigned projects and programs related to recruitment and enrollment, as well as input, maintain, retrieve, and ensure accuracy of data for reporting purposes. The Admissions Recruiter will implement special projects to promote the College, including meeting prospective students, giving campus tours, and coordinating recruitment events throughout the year across all campus locations. They will plan, organize, direct, implement recruiting and outreach activities, and develop contacts with high schools, educational institutions, county and community agencies.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Strategically plans, schedules, conducts, and leads a variety of on-campus, off-campus and virtual admissions and recruitment events including open houses, college fairs, high school visits, application workshops, information sessions, registration events, and campus tours.
  • Develops and cultivate relationships with community partnerships to promote programs and increase enrollment.
  • Assist in the supervision, training and staffing of the student ambassador program- Cougar Corps.
  • Provides superior customer service to students, families, and other stakeholders through the entire admissions process during in-person, phone, email, and text interactions.
  • Collaborates with all departments and offices across all campuses to support recruitment and enrollment.
  • Provides follow-up correspondence to prospective students, teachers and guidance counselors after high school visits, college fairs, testing and registration days.
  • Conducts information sessions on-campus and off-campus involving admissions and recruitment activities such as college tours, college fairs, and school presentations.
  • Develops and maintains successful working relationships with all high school directors and supervisors of guidance, including the Camden County Guidance Directors Association, with the goal of using these sources to continually promote academic programs from Camden County College.
  • Maintains accurate and timely prospect, inquiry, applicant, admission, event, and communication information within College systems.
  • Reviews applicant records for missing, incomplete, duplicate, or inconsistent information and completes or refers corrections according to established Admissions procedures.
  • Coordinates the activities of part-time recruitment staff.
  • Identifies recruitment and admissions opportunities designed to expand access and increase applications and enrollment among underserved and underrepresented populations.
  • Plans and develops recruitment publications, including input for copy, illustrations, and layout of promotional material with the College Publications Management Staff.
  • Complies with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations.
  • Completes all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • One to three years' experience in college admissions or recruitment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, public-speaking, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly energetic, flexible, and motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritize, implement, follow-up and stay on track with multiple projects.
  • Strong data-entry, organizational, and recordkeeping skills.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule with occasional early morning, evening, and weekend activities.
  • Valid driver's license, insurance and personal vehicle.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Special Instructions for Applicants

This position requires a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, possible overnight assignments and duties at any location.

This position requires constant mobility on and off-site (attending meetings, setting up events/displays and taking materials such as information packets, folding tables, chairs, and tents to events on and off campus).

This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 65 lbs.
