Schedule - Full Time, 8hr shifts, Monday - Friday

What you will be doing:Responsible for conducting direct recruitment activities, and interfacing with other outreach contractors in compliance with government and management directives

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct direct recruitment activities to engage with interested and eligible youth to attend Job Corps, including public speaking.
  • Prepare, schedule and provide outreach presentations in the assigned area; provide outreach presentations in support of the regional outreach efforts.
  • Develop linkage partners and maintain relations with referral sources such as American Job Centers, State Plan/ WIOA partners, Social Services partners, Safety resources, Military partners, Political and Chamber connections, State and County partners, Education resources, Apprenticeship opportunities, and Media outlets.
  • Initiate applications with interested prospects during outreach events.
  • Conduct, host and participate in center tours and immediately following, work with participants to explore enrollment and begin their Job Corps application.
  • Utilize the MTC Outreach App to maintain all linkage partner information and communication, track and organize events, assess outreach effectiveness by reviewing leads generated, track progress, communication and follow-up with all leads and support leads in creating their Job Corps application. Stay current with the benchmarks for each area of outreach set by supervisor and tracked within the MTC Outreach App.

It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor''s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field; OR an associate's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field and two (2) years related experience required
  • Experience may include successful Job Corps outreach and admissions experience or successful outreach and admissions experience with other youth development programs
  • A Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
