Role Summary

The Admissions Coordinator (Intake) supports timely, accurate outpatient admissions by coordinating referral intake, documentation, and payer readiness at Apollo Behavioral Health Hospital (Baton Rouge, LA 70816). Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Key responsibilities include:
- Manage intake calls/referrals, complete inquiry documentation, and maintain intake logs
- Review referral packets against criteria and escalate questions appropriately
- Coordinate admission communication with physicians and the Director of Nursing
- Prepare new patient charts, face sheets, episodes of care, and insurance details
- Complete insurance verification once the physician accepts the patient
- Contribute intake metrics for QAPI reporting

Required qualifications/skills:
- 2–3 years psychiatric admissions experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Organized, self-directed, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong documentation accuracy and professional communication
