The admission experience sets the tone for a patient's entire stay.

We're looking for an organized, personable, and detail-oriented Admissions Assistant to support our Admissions and Marketing team and help patients and families navigate the transition into our facility.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, solving problems, and being part of a fast-paced healthcare team.

You'll work closely with admissions, nursing, therapy, case managers, referral sources, patients, and families to help ensure each admission is coordinated smoothly from referral through arrival.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Support the Admissions team with incoming referrals and potential admissions

• Gather and organize referral and admission documentation

• Help ensure required information is received prior to admission

• Communicate with hospitals, case managers, referral sources, patients, and families

• Assist with insurance and demographic information as needed

• Prepare admission paperwork and admission packets

• Help patients and families understand the admission process and what to expect

• Communicate upcoming admissions to nursing, therapy, dietary, business office, and other departments

• Track referrals and admission status

• Maintain accurate records and documentation

• Assist with follow-up calls and referral communication

• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and referral partners

• Support the Admissions and Marketing team with administrative and coordination needs

• Assist with tours and facility inquiries as needed

• Help ensure patients and families receive a warm, organized welcome upon arrival

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Professional and comfortable communicating with patients, families, hospital staff, and healthcare professionals

• Strong computer and documentation skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality

EXPERIENCE THAT CAN TRANSLATE WELL

Experience in healthcare admissions is preferred, but we're also interested in candidates with backgrounds in:

• Medical office or healthcare administration

• Hospital or physician office settings

• Patient or family services

• Insurance verification or authorization

• Long-term care or rehabilitation

• Healthcare customer service

• Marketing or community relations

EDUCATION

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Associate degree in Healthcare, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
