    Job Title: Appraisal Lead Administrator Coach

    FLSA Status: Exempt

    Pay Grade: 105

    Reports To: Coordinator of Instructional Services

    Primary Purpose

    The Appraisal Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, promoting, and supporting leadership development and appraisal-related programs that serve school districts across the region. In addition, this position will provide technical assistance to school systems navigating Prep Mentoring programs. The Appraisal Lead manages program logistics, event planning, participant communication, data analysis, and fiscal tracking for appraisal initiatives, ELEVATE services, and leadership development networks. The Appraisal Lead develops and facilitates professional learning, supports district improvement efforts through calibration and coaching activities, collaborates with regional and state partners, and ensures the successful implementation of programs designed to strengthen instructional leadership, educator effectiveness, and continuous school improvement while serving as a key liaison between ESC Region 11, participating districts, and the Texas Education Agency.

    Experience

    • 3 years of successful classroom teaching experience (required)
    • 3 years of successful campus principal experience (required)
    • Central Office with supervisory experience preferred

    Appraisal Lead

    Appraisal

    • Schedule and reserve conference rooms for appraisal trainings, including T-TESS, T-PESS, AEL, Impact Coaching 11, and Calibrated Support
    • Create event plans for appraisal trainings
    • Maintain appraisal11@esc11.net calendar
    • Participate in statewide appraisal lead meetings with TEA
    • Track revenue and expenses for appraisal trainings

    ELEVATE

    • Create event plans for ELEVATE contracts
    • Promote through various channels, including the regional mailing list and flyers at related workshops
    • Process and analyze district-submitted appraisal data
    • Track revenue and demographic data for ELEVATE contracts
    • Facilitate one-day Calibrated Support trainings
    • Schedule campus visits with districts
    • Facilitate campus calibration walkthroughs and discussions

    Principal Synergy Network

    • Schedule and reserve conference rooms for Principal Synergy Network (four meetings per academic year)
    • Create an event plan for Principal Synergy Network
    • Promote through various channels, including the regional mailing list
    • Schedule guest speakers
    • Develop and deliver training and other session segments
    • Coordinate lunch sponsors with the program assistant

    Leadership Institute

    • Schedule and reserve conference rooms (five to six meetings per academic year)
    • Create an event plan for Leadership Institute
    • Promote through various channels, including the regional mailing list
    • Develop and facilitate six day-long trainings
    • Collaborate with our internal GoLead11 program to provide assistance and support for aspiring principals or superintendents through professional development, marketing, and appraisal support

    Instructional Coaches Academy

    • Schedule and reserve conference rooms (four meetings per academic year)
    • Create an event plan for Instructional Coaches Academy
    • Promote through various channels, including the regional mailing list
    • Develop and facilitate training and/or schedule guest speakers

    Prep Mentorship

    • Develop or possess a strong knowledge base of Prep Mentoring programs
    • Provide technical assistance to school systems navigating Prep Mentoring programs
    • Attend Prep Mentoring webinars and training per direction from the Director of Leadership and Support or Designee
    • Collaborate with college, local, state, and district partners to create strategic plans and partnerships.

    Attend work daily to support the achievement of the goals and objectives of the ESC.

    Working Conditions (Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors)

    Mental: Public relations and people skills are always required, work with frequent interruptions, and maintain professional composure and confidentiality under stress.

    Physical: Occasional prolonged and irregular hours, ability to move tables and chairs and load/unload boxes and materials. Prolonged use of a computer. Frequent region and state-wide travel.

    Environmental: Open cubicles/workstations.

    Evaluation

    Annual performance evaluation will be performed in accordance with the adopted policies of the Education Service Center Region 11. Employment in this position is contingent upon performance, need, and funding.
