    The Administrative Assistant is the main point of contact for the Academic Affairs Office and is responsible for resolving or referring student issues to the appropriate person or department. The Administrative Assistant has the general responsibility of supporting the day-to-day operations of the Academic Affairs Department by triaging and completing various administrative tasks, which include but is not limited to managing student absence requests, managing exam schedules. ordering supplies using Guided Buying, and collating data for any special projects assigned by the Assistant Dean, Assistant Directors, and Academic Affairs Manager. This position has continual integration with Academic Affairs staff, GSDM faculty, students, and other department administrators and staff.

    Required Skills

    • A strong candidate will have a Bachelor''s degree and at least 1 year of work experience as an Administrative Assistant or Coordinator.
    • Their software skill set should include Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Knowledge of R25 and SPS would be an advantage.
    • This person needs strong written and verbal skills, the ability to learn quickly, the ability to set priorities, good time management skills, while paying attention to detail.
    • Interacting with faculty, staff, and students is necessary, and so experience working in an academic environment is a plus.
    • Good interpersonal skills for interacting with a variety of people, and the ability to pay attention to details is essential for most Academic Affairs responsibilities.
