Help

You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA) and be responsible for serving as the principal administrative support to the Sector Corpus Christi Command Cadre, Corpus Christi, TX and provides administrative processing and support for the manager/supervisor and/or immediate office staff and oversees production and processing of administrative services on behalf of the entire organization.

Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:

Providing assistance and direction to staff members regarding procedures, administrative requirements, need for information, and relates information.
Responding to routine and non-technical requests for information such as status of reports, suspense dates for matters requiring compliance, and similar information readily available from files.
Drafting non-technical correspondence when provided with routine outline of points to cover

Qualifications

To qualify at the GS-07 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis.

Provide office automation support.
Manage internal and external correspondence.
Maintain files, records, logs, and databases detailing division actions.
Maintain and update electronic databases.
