    Qualifications

    Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree AND experience equivalent to three years of increasingly responsible full-time professional staff administrative experience.

    Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time increasingly responsible sub professional, paraprofessional, or professional experience may be substituted for the required education, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of four years.

    Substitution of Education for Experience: Additional graduate coursework in public administration, business administration, or other acceptable field may be substituted for the required experience, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two years.

    OR

    Two years of increasingly responsible professional administrative services experience with the State of Tennessee.

    Overview

    This position is responsible for leading purchasing activities, ensuring compliance with State policies, and supporting efficient operational and administrative workflows. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and three years of full-time administrative experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Research approved procurement methods, prepare requisitions and purchase orders, coordinate purchasing needs, and maintain complete procurement documentation.
    • Place recurring supply orders, review contracts when needed, and complete required State procurement training.
    • Provide first level desktop support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalate to Strategic Technology Solutions (STS) when appropriate, and manage monthly incident and billing reports.
    • Conduct annual and ongoing inventory audits, update equipment records, coordinate surplus activities, and support computer replacement cycles.
    • Assist in workstation onboarding and offboarding, ensuring proper hardware deployment, access setup, equipment recovery, and maintain accurate custody documentation.
    • Maintain organized, compliant records to support audits, operational continuity, and retention requirements.
