Non-Clinical - Administrative/Patient Services Coordinator

Location: Beverly Hills, CA

Onsite Flexibility: Onsite

Contract Details

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 3 months
  • Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Day shift, 8:30 AM 5:30 PM (5 8 Hours). Position requires 1 Saturday per month from 8:00 AM 12:00 PM.
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This role serves as the primary point of contact for patient relations in an outpatient vision center setting, handling both in-person and phone interactions. Knowledge of vision insurance and vision center experience is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Primary point of contact for patient relations in person and by phone
  • Greet patients and assist in resolving patient concerns and escalating as appropriate
  • Check patients in/out and collect co-payments, give receipts, and reconcile payments
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance information in CS-Link/Epic
  • Schedule appointments and complete patient registration
  • Process and track referrals and authorizations for various insurance types
  • Handle patient/provider correspondence
  • Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients
  • Sanitize workspace using provided supplies and following department guidelines

Required Skills

  • Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans
  • Epic experience

Preferred Skills

  • Vision Center and Vision Insurance experience (strongly preferred)
  • Understanding of medical terminology

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma (HSD) or GED required

Required Experience

  • 1 year of recent experience working in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • 2 years of recent experience working as a Patient Service Representative
